The brass 市场 Minimarket sign above the entrance

The place

A minimarket. Sort of.

Via Alfredo Albertini 8, behind Via Paolo Sarpi. A small place with full shelves and a little square out front. Open since spring 2026.

Red neon Minimarket sign on the green wall, bottles on the shelves

The idea

Social bar with a kitchen.

The name says everything and nothing. 市场 means “market”: we're in Chinatown and the place is built like a corner minimarket, with shelves of cereal, sauces and bottles as the backdrop. Except here you don't buy the products: you drink and eat them at the table.

Three things together, each taken seriously: home-made Italian cooking, a bar with cocktails done properly, music out of the orange wooden speakers. None of them crowding out the others.

Inside and out

Two venues in one

Table with the lamp on, a cocktail and tapas trays
Inside

Intimate, with a lamp on the table

A few tables, low light, music “softly in the background, never getting in the way of the conversation”. The right room for a dinner for four or an aperitivo that runs long.

Outside

The square out front

In summer the decks move onto the square and people stop “for a cocktail in front of the minimarket”. High tables, umbrellas, the street going by.

In the kitchen, oil poured over the little tapas bowls

The kitchen

Home-made, for real.

The pasta is fresh, the focaccia comes out warm, the tiramisù is whipped by us. The aperitivo tapas change every night with what's in: pasta bites, meatballs, salmon, bruschetta. Honest portions, fair prices.
